Sept tenth was a big day for our family. Justin and I celebrated our five year anniversary. We dropped Brock off with Justin's Parents and went to Boise. We spent the weekend relaxing and having fun. We had way to much fun, eating out, sleeping in, shopping we even went to a movie together for the first time since Brock was born. We each picked an activity, Justin decided that he wanted to go to the water park and I decided on going to get a 90 min couples massage. We had a great time on our mini-vacation and are planning our ten year trip. We're thinking Australia. Brock had fun with his grandma, he even had a little surprise for us when we got back. His first tooth.

Other wise, not to much going on. Justin has to start working five nights a week for twelve hours a day so Brock and I hang out and play. He Loves his baths

And loves to splash

He helps with the laundry

Plays with his toys

Sits up all by himself (at least for a minute or two)
falls over and gets angry

And rolls

and rolls

Summer time fun

We have been having so much fun this summer that I haven't blogged for a while. So here is a quick recap and some pictures of Brock.

Forth of July

We ended up watching fireworks from the car. Brock was sick with his first ear infection. He loved the fireworks and even more he liked to sit in the front seat of the car and pretend to drive.

Over all Brock is a happy baby. He likes his independance. He can pretty much get anywhere within rolling distance. He tries to sit up but always gets distracted by his toes and then tries to eat them and falls over.

Brock has started to eat baby food. So far he has liked all the fruits and veggies. He still doesn't like the oatmeal or rice cearel. He is good at making a mess.

And some how Brock got a hold of an oreo and needless to say he like it.

At the end of July we were able to go to Beaver for the 24th. We had a great time visiting with family and friends. Brock did remarkibly on the ride there and back, which was surprising becuase this kiddo hates the car. In Beaver we went to the parade, the races, and they had an honorary horse race in by Grandpa's name. It was nice to have him remebered in a way that really captured the essance of who he was. Brock also went swimming for the first time and he loved it. He must have inharetted justin's love of water.

The next weekend we moved into Twin Falls.

Brock watched saterday morning cartoons with Nikole while we packed.

The best thing about the move is that our Rent is much cheaper which allows us to play more. We found an awesome deal on plane tickets to Vegas, so we took a weekend and went and played. Brock loved the plane, he even had his own seat.

We were able to see lots of our friends and we had a great time.
Brock passed out from all the fun we had.

Brock playing with Justin. He thinks that his parents are funny.

June

We have babies, There are four baby birds in our tree out back. This is as close as I could get without making moma bird angery. They are robins.

My baby is now four months old. He is happy most of the time. He loves to talk and is moving all the time.

He loves to jump and is getting really strong.

He does not like to eat baby food at all. He will do it for a while if he is hungery enough but he makes faces like really mom, you want me to do what.

Brock got sick for the first time. He had a stuffy nose that turned into bilateral ear infections. He was so sad. But he is doing much better and had gotten quite good at taking medicine.
Brock also went to Reno for the first time to spend fathers day with his grandpa and to show grandma how big he has gotten. He refused to roll over the whole time he was there. We went to the rodeo and had a great time. Brock just sat there and watched. He really liked the fireworks which should make it interesting on the forth.
Brock all dressed up for Church. He looks so cute in his little suit.

longing for warm weather

Brock is growing so much everyday. He is three months old and quickly growing out of a lot of his clothes. His is becoming Mobile, which I am so not ready for. Most of the time he moves around is in his crib. He moves up and down in bed and has even rolled over a few time, but he wont roll over while we are watching. He gets so close but is stubborn and just gets mad. He is at the stage where is recognizes us which is fun. He is a very happy baby and loves to smile at everyone, he loves watching the world around him. He likes the TV and thinks that the people are talking to him and he talks back to them.

We are Sooo ready for warm weather, we bought Brock a swimming suit, complete with hat, sandals, a shirt and shorts. This is about all he would let me put on him.

Grandma's cowboy outfit

As for us, we are adapting well and enjoying having Brock to entertain us. Justin's work has been busy for memorial day and fathers day coming up. I enjoy my job, I am trained on three floors so I go where ever they need me. Its nice to have the variety.

2 months

Brock is getting so big so fast, he is almost three months old and I total forgot to post about his two month check up. So here are the stats

weight 75% 13lb 4oz
height 75% 23.5 in
head 75% 16 in
Brock has started smiling and on good days he laughs, mostly at his Dad. Justin is Brocks favorite person, he is always wanting to play and when every Justin walks into he watches him and starts to smile. Brock also likes to lay on his changing table and look at his stuffed animals. He has started to be able to grab them and he tries to eat them.

Brock is quickly growing out of his clothes, there are a few that he never got to wear but we try really hard to have him wear everything at least once. Here is his first pair of overalls. He was ready to go to work.

We were able to go to SLC and see Michele, the girls and my Mom in April for a few days. Brock loves his cousins.

B is for Brock

Lots of stuff has gone on this last month and my Maternaty leave is quikly drawing to an end. So I thought I would catch up on the going on's here before I have to start going back to work. So here are the five B's.

This year on my birthday Brock officially turned one month old. He still sleeps a lot, gets held a lot and is still gets lots of pictures taken of him. He has grown two and a half inches, and gained about two and a half pounds. He has started to get chubby, especially in his face. He has out grown his new born clothes and some of his 3m clothes. His eyes are lighter blue now and open a lot more. We got his room decorated, he has a fire truck room picked out by his Uncle Pat.

B is for Bunnies

This year for Easter I decided that I want to color eggs and have sweet potato casserole. So we decided to have a big family dinner with Justin’s parents and his sister Lesia’s family. Everyone came over around four, we painted eggs and had a yummy dinner. Brock got an Easter basket with some books, diapers, a formula container and candy in it.
