B is for Brock

Lots of stuff has gone on this last month and my Maternaty leave is quikly drawing to an end. So I thought I would catch up on the going on's here before I have to start going back to work. So here are the five B's.

This year on my birthday Brock officially turned one month old. He still sleeps a lot, gets held a lot and is still gets lots of pictures taken of him. He has grown two and a half inches, and gained about two and a half pounds. He has started to get chubby, especially in his face. He has out grown his new born clothes and some of his 3m clothes. His eyes are lighter blue now and open a lot more. We got his room decorated, he has a fire truck room picked out by his Uncle Pat.

B is for Bunnies

This year for Easter I decided that I want to color eggs and have sweet potato casserole. So we decided to have a big family dinner with Justin’s parents and his sister Lesia’s family. Everyone came over around four, we painted eggs and had a yummy dinner. Brock got an Easter basket with some books, diapers, a formula container and candy in it.

B is for Blessing

Brock was blessed on March 28, 2010. He was blessed by his father. We were glad that his Grandpa’s and his Great Grandpa Rands could come and be a part of this special day.

B is for baby shower

My Mother–in-law and Sister-in-law had a baby shower for me this month. It was a lot of fun and I got a ton of stuff. There were lots of people who came. Being in Idaho, I feel that we have lots of couple and family friends and was glad that most of the wives came.

I was also glad that my family could come. Brock was able to meet lots of his family.

We played the baby food game, the price is right and the pass the present game and I do have to say that my family dominated the game scene. Even Micaela won a prize.

B is for Birthdays

March is Birthday month for both Justin and I. The weekend before our birthday's we had a party at 1,000 springs. Its a local hot springs pool. Justin had a great time swimming with all his nieces and nephews, while I spent the day chatting with the grown-ups.

This year we spent the week in between our birthdays with Justin's Sister and his nieces. His sister Jackie came up from Utah to see us and the rest of the family. While she was here they decided to remodel his parents bathroom. It was suppose to be a day project but ended up taking four days. All is all it looks great. I spent the time hanging out with my niece Danielle (who's 18th birthday was also that week). We went shopping, to the movies, had a One Tree Hill marathon, played Guitar Hero and went out for breakfast.
