Plumbers

So for the last few days are house has been crawling with plumbers, drywallers, inspectors and other random workers. It wouldn't be so bad but they come at seven in the morning and basically take over the whole house. The good news is that we have all new, warrantied pipes and they they will be done painting on Monday! I am very impressed by how well the house came back together, I just wish they would repaint the whole house.

Other then that school is going well, I started my first IV, and we have been in our maternity rotation. It was so fun playing with the babies. I was even told by the nurse I worked with that I was one of the best student nurses they have ever had and that I should go into maternal nursing.

Friends and Family

One of the best things about living so close to Vegas is that people come and visit. We were lucky to get to spend time with many of our friends and family this last month. It started off with a surprise visit from one of my best and oldest friends, Stephanie Rider. She stopped by and we could only convince her to stay for a night but we had a great time catching up. Justin's friend Nike came into town that weekend and he was able to spent some time with him down on the strip. We took a short trip to grandma's where Justin had fun playing with the cousins and I had fun talking with the women. We also got to see two basketball games.

Katy came down right before school started for the both of us. We showed her around the area, but I think that she decided that she liked Bruno more the us. The last week was also packed with visitors, Our friends Chris, Danielle and their two year old son Micheal came for a few days. We enjoyed having people to play with, luckily Micheal was entertained by Bruno and the few toys we have. And then to finish it off, we our friend's parents stay with us for a night. It was a busy month but our house has never been cleaned so often.

School has started off again, and life is a hectic as ever but theres a spare bed and we love having people come by.

They say it was a freak storm and that Vegas has not seen this much snow in decades. However, it is now a comfortable 60 degrees during the day.

Jump Starting

Despite the Christmas pumpkin's we still haven't been much in the Christmas mood. It might be the warm weather or the fact the the leaves have just recently changed color. So we decided that if Christmas would not come to us, then we would go to Christmas. We spent last weekend in Beaver visiting my grandparents. We went and looked at Christmas lights, helped decorate the tree, and went into the mountains and cut down our own tree to take home with us. We even saw snow! It was nice to relax especially since last week was finials week, which went fine. I also some how had time to decorate the whole house, read a book and do almost all of my Christmas shopping. So here is the before and after pictures of the tree.

More Christmas

Let me begin by saying that I LOVE pumpkins. So every October I go and buy the perfect pumpkin. Well this year I didn't carve my pumpkin. So it sat at my house all October long and come November Justin decided that It needed thrown away. So I explained to him that pumpkins are not only Halloween decorations that they are Thanksgiving decorations too. He gave in and the pumpkin was spared. Well come December Justin decided that since Thanksgiving was over, the pumpkins should go. I argued that they are not bad yet and should get to stay. I temporarily won that fight, but decided that I needed to have a back up plan and lo and behold CHRISTMAS PUMPKINS.

Grandmas Christmas Decorates she gave us

These are the first Christmas Ornaments that I have bought since we have been married, I inherited most of my Christmas decorations from my College friends. And the plate is one my Grandma gave us.

This is one of the baby blankets I made, I don't know what I am going to do with it but for now it is going to live at my house so that when babies come over to visit I have a blanket.
